About Torrington, CT: Largest town in The Litchfield Hills with some of its downtown core classifield as a national historic district. The town is currently trying to revitalize its downtown area with many project discussions. I think that had the flood of 1955 not wiped out so much of the city, Torrington - and Winsted too - would have looked drastically different today. Currently the downtown has the Warner Theatre, which calls itself THE Destination for Arts, Culture, & World Class Entertainment. There is also the Nutmeg Conservatory, a leading professional ballet training organization in the U.S. and my favorite place for a formal dress, Ida's Bridal Shop. The city has a lot of potential and it will be exciting to see the potential transformation.
