About Simsbury, CT:
There are so many things to do in this 34 acre town! One of my favorites is hiking the Hublein Trail up to the observatory at the top of the hill where you can look out over the Valley and on a clear day see right into Massachusetts. Farms include the Rosedale Farm noted for their produce and wine, Tulmeadow Farm is great for their ice cream, and Flamig Farm has a petting zoo and a Halloween hayride. Simsbury Farms is the town recreational facility with swimming pools, tennis courts, skating rink, playgrounds, and golf course. One of my favorite things to do in Simsbury is grab a picnic dinner and head over to Iron Horse Boulevard where there is the outdoor performing arts center with live entertainment and community events in the summer. Finally, all along the main road in Simsbury there are a great number of shops and restaurants with an emphasis on the "NO Big Box" concept. One of my very favorite restaurants is Abigails, formally known as Pettibone's Tavern, built in the 1700s and tastefully renovated and renamed after a fire. Distict Valley town for its sophistocation and emphasis on preserving the rural charm.
