About New Hartford, CT: Darling small town with the most charming town center. Outside of the Farmington Valley, and technically in Litchfield Country, New Hartford is one of my favorite places. It has the best wholesome, organic, restaurant, Passiflora, which is committed to buying organic produce only and supporting local farms. I had never heard of a tempeh reuban with homemade thousand island dressing before eating here. The soups are delicious and made fresh daily and the desserts are the way desserts should taste with only natural ingredients. Try a vegan black bean brownie and you will be shocked that somethign so delicious could be made with healthy ingredients. Around the corner from the town center is Ski Sundown, THE place in CT for skiing and snowboarding pleasure. Also noteworthy is Farmington River Tubing, a great idea on a summer day, because you rent a tube and float three miles down the river and get a bus ride back. You can even watch the fly fisherman cast their lines as you drive through town in the spring. For a small town, there are so many great things to do.
