About Canton, CT: Smallest town in The Valley but growing very fast. Canton is made up of four villages: Collinsville Center, voted one "of the coolest towns" for its recycled factory buildings that house art studios, antique shops, etc. and around the corner is one of the best places for a casual bite, LaSalle Market or you can go to The Crown & Hammer a great bistro. Also in Collinsville you can rent a canoe and take it out on the river behind Collinsville Canoe & Kayak. Canton Center and North Canton are on the outskirts of the Valley and more on the rural side. Finally, Canton Village which was the original center resembles Avon more than it does Canton with its busy modern commericial stretch that includes the highly desired Shoppes at Farmington Valley, an outdoor shopping village. I'd say Canton is the most casual of the Valley towns, but don't underestimate its appeal and quality of life!
